IRON WORKERS LOCAL 383
Madison, Wisconsin
The OCTOBER 2025 newsletter with colored pictures is available by clicking the above link.
To all who share in concern:
I’m fairly certain that you may have heard about the accident over the weekend involving one of our members from Local #383, Dakota Chamblee. If not, I will inform you that an accident caused him to fall nearly 50 feet and that he was transported to the hospital. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident.
I have been by his side daily, and after an intensive surgery of 8+ hours, I can say that he is on his road to recovery. He is a bit banged up, but the support of everyone thus far keeps him motivated and determined. He has a broken leg and arm, but is already standing with minor assistance.
We all know that this is a terrible thing to endure, and I wouldn’t wish this on any individual. I truly appreciate and thank anyone and everyone who has reached out, thought of him, and/or sent up a prayer.
“Time heals all wounds” is a phrase I was always accustomed to hearing growing up. Another saying that I had to find out the hard way is “The government can shut down, but the bills keep on rolling.” Knowing this, another member of our local has set up a GoFundMe on his behalf, and if you would like to donate, I’m sure he would greatly appreciate it.

The above statement was written by me, and was aided in drafting by Dakota. He genuinely
