I'm ready. I want to be an ironworker!
Thank you for your interest in an Ironworking Apprenticeship.
Application, Orientation & Interview Sessions are held 3 times a year. Please review the following information. If you are interested in becoming an ironworker:
Email us at with your name, address and telephone number. You will be notified of the exact time, date and location two to three weeks prior.
Arrange to take the ACCUPLACER Assessment Test. You must take the Arithmetic section and score 55 points or higher and also the Reading Comprehension section and score 66 points or higher. You may instead, use the ACT Test with a score of 15 points or higher. Bring a photocopy of your test scores to the Application & Orientation Session.
AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION, you are required to submit PHOTOCOPIES of the following:
1) copy of Proof of Age (driver's license, state issued ID card, or birth certificate)
2) copy of High School Diploma or equivalent (HSED or GED)
3) copy of Transcript of all school records
4) copy of your Accuplacer Assessment or ACT Test score(s)
5) copy of Military Service Record (DD-214), if any
NO EXCEPTIONS, YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF ALL OF THE ABOVE DOCUMENTS OR YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND THE ORIENTATION OR APPLY TO THE PROGRAM !
Minimum requirements listed below:
Age: 18 years old or older at date of application
Physical Ability: Able to perform work of the trade
Education: High school diploma or GED
Tests: Accuplacer Assessment Test – Arithmetic (score 55 or higher) and Reading Comprehension (score 66 or higher) -or- ACT Test (score 15 or higher)
Pre-employment drug screen required.
